Jabra BT8040 Bluetooth Headset
Whether you're taking call after call or listening to music between calls, the diminutive yet powerful Jabra BT8040, is a feature-packed wireless headset, offering excellent Bluetooth 2.0 audio performance within a head-turning design.Customer Review: Satisfied
The snow made delivery slow but once it arrived I found everything intact. I opened the prize and low and behold the Jabra was not only intact, functional but mine!
Customer Review: Small, but excellent
I replaced a Jabra headset that was 4 times larger than this one. It holds a charge much longer and performs much better.

JABRA Bluetooth HEADSET / EARPEICE VBT185Z
OPTIMIZED SOUND QUALITY WITH SUPPORTED BLUETOOTH 2.0 EDR & eSCO COMPATIBLE WITH BLUETOOTH (version 1.1 or higher) devices that support the handsfree and or headset profileCustomer Review: Works ok, user un-friendly design
I agree with the previous comments about the size of the ear bud and the volume up/down. The ear bud is a little too large so it can make my ear sore after having it in there for awhile. I can live with it but why wouldn't they either give a choice of different sizes that people can adjust or thru some QA testing make sure the one size feels good to most people? If you're going to spend all that time designing a product, why not design it with comfort and functionality in mind, just like a previous reviewer said. So on the part of functionality, I agree it is hard to find the volume up and down buttons when it's on the head. They should have made them raised buttons, easy to distinguish from the on/off/accept button. Jabra didn't notice this from their QA testing? You have to wonder how they can be so clueless and what they're smoking wherever they are (New Hampshire or Illinois from what I've read). The wireless connection and reception are very decent and people say they can hear me better on this than my wired headset. The battery life, it lasts about two days without charging. I don't know if that's good or bad. The device information wasn't that great with the packaging. It gave a few basic tips on how to use it, but no specification data or any details about auto-shut off. I believe it does an auto-shut off if it hasn't been used for awhile, since the blue light stops blinking. However I'm not sure of that so it would be really nice if Jabra could have said something in their instructions. No way, that would be TOO helpful!!!! Guess I'll keep this for now. Did they skimp on "fit and funtionality" as this is one of the lowest priced models available? It's hard to believe but maybe not such a stretch.
Customer Review: A very poor representative for Jabra!
I too received the Jabra Bluetooth headset with my new Verizon cell-phone. I've not even looked to see how much I paid for it, but if it were free AND included a $25 rebate, it would still be too much. PRO's - The headset itself is small and barely noticable. I don't like the idea of walking around in public with a Bluetooth stuck in my ear, but if you have to do it, for inconspicuous, this would be a good choice. - The ear hook easily changes from one ear to the other by merely popping it off and flipping it over; a two second change at most. Very nice, since I must have it on the left ear only. CON's - The earpiece is very large. There are no replacements for them and you are stuck with what you get. When I got my iPod, the earbuds that came with it hurt my ears badly and I had to replace them. This earpiece is at least as large as those. - About two-thirds of the conversations I had using this device went badly. I had to repeat myself over, and over, and finally I had to YELL! So much for being inconspicuous. Then I would ultimately have to tell them to wait while I disconnected the Bluetooth so I could finish the conversation. - The other party had the same problem...What?, What?, I can't hear you! - I almost had to hold the cell-phone in front of the device to get any reception at all. If I were to lay the phone down and walk more than six (unobstructed) feet away, forget about it. I would have to run back to the phone quickly so the other party wouldn't hang up thinking that I had been disconnected. The same if it were in my pocket or belt case. - Out-of-doors, I had no luck at all. I am not sure if it was outide interferance, the wind, or both, but I had to terminate the call and return it later. Fortunately all of the calls I made using this device were personal. I cringe at the thought anyone would try to use this while making a business call. When assessing the usefullness or value of any product, you must evaluate at least two major elements: Fit and function. This product fulfilled niether of these. It fit in my ear poorly, and it just plain didn't meet any definition of functional. This product is a very poor specimen to represent Jabra. Not having any previous experience with other Jabra products; I still would never buy another. My recommendation is to pull this off the market before it ruins completely the Jabra name. KRM

The Camos 600 paired and works great with my cell phone and with my Tomtom rider 2nd edition GPS. It did not work with my Tomtom first edition as it is only set up for the included headset. I can talk on the phone and receive directions from the GPS at the same time. In addition I can get music from a MP3 bluetooth as I go. All on the same headset at basically the same time.

Lubix Stereo Bluetooth Headset

Lubix UBHS-LC1 Stereo Bluetooth Headset
Make phone calls and listen to music in style and convenience with the Lubix UBHS-LC1 Stereo Bluetooth Headset. Our unique pendant-style design means the headset always stays within reach without having to always stay in your ear.
Designed to be worn around the neck when not in use, the two earpieces snap together magnetically, forming a pendant with the cord as necklace. When you want to make or take a call, just separate the earpieces with one hand and put one or both of them in your ears.
This lightweight, comfortable headset features A2DP support, four built-in 3D sound spatialization modes for enhanced music listening, and support for multiple simultaneous host pairing. Recharges from USB port or wall outlet.
Product Benefits
- Comfort and convenience. Since the Lubix UBHS-LC1 is designed to be worn as a pendant when not in use, theres no need to have a bulky device hanging on your ear at all times. The lightweight, silicone-cushioned earpieces fit naturally and securely in your ears without needing awkward clips.

Customer Review: It's the thought that counts.
They work as a necklace, they have awesome sound quality, the USB charger is easy to use, the battery life is great, the caller ID screen is super useful, but... they just won't stay in my ears!! It's probably not them. It's probably me. I've never found a pair of earbuds that fit right and would stay put. I love the idea of this product, but I can't really use it until they design something that can hold on to my ears.
Customer Review: Not what I expected.......
This is a product with great potential. All of the things you need are there. Caller ID, different stereo modes, the magnets, etc. But, this product falls short in a few key ways. First, and most mentioned, is the Noose you end up in around your neck. This could be the worst flaw. All that would be needed to fix this would be more cord. Second, there is an issue with the balance of the product once it is in your ears. It is front heavy, and tends to fall out. You can buy additional things to make that better, but why should you have to? On a product which costs this much money, I would expect better balance. These two factors alone were enough to have me turn the product back in for a full refund. The manual is lousy, but I expected that. The headset may be better for those who have smaller ears. It should be redesigned to stay in you ears. Minimal movement will make it fall out. My experience overall was very poor, which is why I returned the product. I'll wait for a redesigned product to come out.

Seidio Innocase II Surface Combo for Apple iPhone - Burgundy
We have paired the Seidio Surface Case and Innocase Holster to provide the ultimate carry and protection solution for your iPhone.Customer Review: Fits Great! Feels Great! Nice product
The product is nice. It fits the iphone like a glove. It came with a holster as an added bonus which was nice too. I keep the phone in my purse or pocket so I don't use a holster but it's nice to have that option. The holster has a nice spring to it on the top clip so it won't break off from use. All around a nice product. Feels nice too. Grip is soft but works great.

BlueAnt X3 Micro Bluetooth Headset (Black)
The X3 micro is the ultimate Bluetooth accessory for people on the move. The X3 micro is a high quality full duplex Bluetooth headset backed by a manufacturer's 2 year hardware warranty. Small ergonomic design, only 5.2cm long Lightweight at 13 grams Keeps mobile phone radiation away from your head for health conscious people Multi-Function Button (MFB) provides for simple control of the headset LED lights can be switched off for night time driving Can easily be swapped from left to right ear Transfer calls between the X3 micro and a mobilephone during a call Compatible with Bluetooth Mobile Phone, Smartphones, PDAs and VOIP applicationsCustomer Review: This is not a MICRO headset
First of all this is not MICRO at all. It is large and bulky and does stay on the ear very well. The sound quality is poor for the person on the other end of the conversation. I use it with a Blackberry Curve PDA. I paid about double for the BlueAnt V-1 and for the money it is the best I've tried out of many bluetooths. Lesson here is you get what you pay for. Don't waste your money on this.
Customer Review: Good for phone, not for laptop.
This wouldn't work on my laptop, which is what I bought it for. But I later found out that it was probably my laptop. So based on it's performance as a bluetooth device for my roommates phone it gets 4 stars. A little difficult to setup the first time, but good after that.

Scala Rider CARDO BIKE TO BIKE Q2
Scala Rider Cardo-Rider Q2Customer Review: Be careful - Out of date product
Scala recently updated the Q2 to include an MP3 in-jack (check out their website). Unfortunately, it looks like they're dragging their feet on getting the improvement to the US distributors. I just purchased a new Q2 and, sure enough, no MP3 jack. From the looks of this advertisement, this is also one of the older units (otherwise it would mention the MP3 jack and the inclusion of an their MP3 cable). At bare minimum, they should make a point of flagging that it's the older unit. I've been happy with the Q2 otherwise--works well with my Zumo 550. But I really wanted the MP3 feature, and now I'm going to ultimately need to buy a replacement down the line.
Customer Review: Like it very much
I bought this late April 2008 and would like to share some info with you. It is a new feeling when driving because I sometimes only used mp3-player with earbuds before. When the phone now rings I do not have to stop and start grabbing the phone and getting rid of the helmet.......and most times miss the call. My helmet: Shoei XR1000 (quite noisy if compared to Schuberth helmets & when driving fast) My bike: Triumph Speed Triple 2001 (naked bike, fast) My area: Germany on country roads and Autobahn (no speed limits) Installation on the helmet Is easy BUT the inside clamp goes between outer helmet shell and inside protection shell. That reduces the free space for your head, i.e. the ears. I will try to make a thinner clamp myself to make it more comfortable again from putting the helmet on and not bending / pressing to much on my ears. In addition you will have the two speakers inside the helmet, which are fairly thin but reduce the space for your ears as well. Speakers and cables are easy to fix and do hold on. Set up of device Is easy when following instructions. I connected it with an other standard Scala Rider and my Nokia E65 cell phone and it has not lost connection, so far. FM Transmitter Okay, it does not sound as good as mp3-player but I was very surprised about the quality of sound and that there was not much interruption to the tuned radio station (I was driving a tour of 170 miles in an area of maybe 80 - 100 square miles, cities and mainly hill country area). You can preselect 6 stations. Minimum loudness is still good to hear. If you want to turn it quiet you will have to switch it off. Phone Works fine. You can take a call by either pressing a button on the device or just saying a word (if your cellphone supports this). Voicedialing is possible but I have not been successfull - might be due to my cellphone settings. Understanding both sides is well and easy. People are just a little afraid when they call you and find out you are riding your bike and not standing still. (Add. comment 26. July 2008 It is possible to listen to music from the phone, if using it like a flash player and connected via bluetooth. Same should be possible with music from a GPS device. Do to permanent use of bluetooth this will shorten operating time of the battery.) Second set Rider for partner I have another standard mono Rider headset that I will fix on the helmet of my partner. From the experience with FM Transmitter and Phone I do not expect any problems. Just in case, that second rider does NOT come with the package of the Rider Q2! Others When listening to the radio and a call comes in it stops the radio and starts ringing like you cell phone setting. You can accept the call and talk. After you or the other end terminates the call the device returns to the radio. The system is working with auto loudness, in a limited range. Surrounding noise still good to notice, e.g. like amublance or police cars. I have to say that around a speed of 70miles/hr and plus it becomes difficult to listen because of the overall noise - from the airstream on the helmet and the bike itself. You can turn the device louder but for me it than became uncomfortable. For riding longer distances with higher speed (>100miles/hr) I usually put in ear plugs for less stress and protect my hearing. Operating with gloves on I was wearing summer gloves without lining and pressing the buttons went fine. However, with gloves with heavier lining it might be more difficult to reach the smaller buttons for the loudness / tuning stations. Final comment I like it very much, will like it even more if I manage to get a little bit more space in the helmet to place my ears and will like it even much more if MP3-player can be connected on top.

Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset - Black
The Motorola HS850 is the company's update to their HS810 headset, one of my personal favorites. The changes made to produce the new HS850 are few, but the effect is relatively substantial. But first, let's start with what is the same.
Like the HS810, the HS850 makes use of a body design that employs a folding microphone boom. The folding microphone boom acts as the on and off switch, as well as just providing a convenient way to make the headset smaller and more pocketable when not in use. When a call comes into your phone, you can turn on and answer the phone at the same time just by unfolding the microphone boom. You can end the call and turn it off by removing the headset and re-folding it. Using the headset in this way conserves battery power, since no battery juice is wasted on standby time - time where the headset sits around waiting to be contacted by a mobile phone or other compatible device. The physical design of the HS850 and the battery savings it imparts is my favorite aspect of the Motorola HS850.
The HS850 folds neatly and fits easily in your pocket. |
Of course you don't have to remove and turn off the headset between calls. If the headset is already on when an inbound call comes, you will hear the ringing come through on the headset and can answer it by pressing on the main multi-function call control button. You can end the call with this same button, and adjust volume levels with the two volume buttons. If you are using a phone that supports the Hands Free Bluetooth profile, then you can also use the call control button to reject an inbound call or redial the last number.
The HS850's audio properties are also like those of the HS810 before it. The audio quality in both directions is very clear and understandable, but sounds a bit thin. You and the party on the other end of the call will both be able to understand each other easily, it just doesn't sound as full and natural as it might with some other headsets. The HS850 makes up for this small lacking by having great resistance to wind noise, though. That makes the headset perfect for people that enjoy driving with their windows down, or those that work outside. Most headsets are very susceptible to wind noise, the HS850 bucks that trend.
Two softly pulsating blue LEDs signal when the headset is in use. |
And now for the new stuff. First up, a more powerful battery. The HS850 I tested managed an amazing 7 hours and 50 minutes of talk time. That is a full two thirds improvement over the older model. The truly amazing part is that this new battery life didn't come at the expense of added weight. Like the HS810 before it, the HS850 weighs only .7oz (19.9g).
The next major change perhaps sounds more important than it worked out to be in reality. The HS850 supports the newer Bluetooth v1.2 spec, whereas most headsets support v1.1 only. Motorola claims that when used with a v1.2 compatible phone (there are still relatively few available at the time I write this), the HS850 will be able to connect faster, use less battery power, and offer improved audio quality. While I can see what appears to be a slight improvement in connection speed, I haven't really noticed much of a change in battery life or audio quality.
The last major change is purely cosmetic. The new headset is sold in this very nice black color and is also available in blue-gray, like a darker version of the HS810's color. I find both colors more attractive than the light silver found on the HS810.
But regardless of the color, you can't go wrong with Motorola's HS850, which I consider to be perhaps the best value on the market.
Pros:
- Small, light
- Comfortable
- Nearly 8 hours of talk time
- No wind noise
- Can be worn on both ears
Cons:
- A bit unusual looking
- Audio lacks bass

Jawbone Bluetooth Headset with NoiseAssassin-Jawbone 2(Black)[Retail Packaged]
Setting new standards for mobile voice clarity and personal style, the new Jawbone Bluetooth headset by Aliph represents a complete departure from the gadgetry of the mobile headset industry. Originally developed for military use in extreme environments, Jawbone features NoiseAssassin--a proprietary technology that eliminates background noise from mobile phone conversations. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth headset with a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) that actually feels your speech, which helps Jawbone distinguish your voice from background noise.
![]() The new Jawbone in black. |

Military-Grade NoiseAssassin Technology
Developed over years of research for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Jawbone's NoiseAssassin eliminates real world noise better than competing headset because it's the only hands free device that accurately separates human speech from ambient noise. Unmatched in its ability to remove noise from loud environments like busy streets, cars, crowded cafes, and airports, NoiseAssassin is comprised of two features unique to Jawbone: a patented Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) and proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth headset with a VAS that feels the speech vibrations from your jaw. This enables Jawbone to capture the distinct frequencies of your voice. Proprietary DSP algorithms work in concert with two powerful microphones and the VAS to accurately model surrounding noise and aggressively eliminate it from the conversation.
Conventional "noise suppression" headsets do not have a Voice Activity Sensor and can only estimate when speech is occurring. This causes performance issues like voice distortion, especially in the presence background noise.
Not Just a Headset, It's Earwear
Made with premium materials like medical-grade plastic and fine leather, the new Jawbone with NoiseAssassin combines science and beauty in the most unassuming, yet richly detailed product. Every effort has been made to contain best in class noise suppression technology in a miniature form that is 50 percent smaller than the original, award-winning Jawbone.
The new Jawbone accomplishes a clean and sophisticated look thanks to invisible buttons. Touch-surface technology allows the user to operate switches by lightly pressing the outer shield. Curved and rectilinear to follow the face, the outer shield is lightly textured and inspired by three-dimensional noise abatement surfaces. The infer surface, the one touching your face and creating contact with the Voice Activity Sensor, is gently curved to be ergonomic and comfortable on your skin.
Offering a comfortable and personalized fit, the new Jawbone comes with three sizes of earbuds and four earloops--two sizes of leather and two of slim, which are ideal for use with eyeglasses. Jawbone can also be worn on either ear and with or without an earloop.
Specifications
- Talk time: Over 4 hours
- Standby time: Over 8 days
- Range: Up to 33 feet (10 meters)
- Weight: 10 grams (0.35 ounces)
- Supports Bluetooth 1.0, 1.1, 2.0

Customer Review: Not worth the price
I like the design of the Jawbone but do not think the performance matches the price. The battery does not seem to stay charged very long in comparison to other models I have tried. I had no problems with the fit of the earpiece but do not feel the clarity of the transmission is anything exceptional. I wouldn't bother purchasing this product again. Stick to a less expensive model. I would imagine this product will undergo a design-modification soon. In addition, the charger for this product is unique to the Jawbone so none of my standard charging cables fit. That means yet another charging cable on my desk and I find that element annoying.
Customer Review: The other party does not complain about your voice anymore.
The only reason I refused to upgrade to a bluetooth headset and never used it because that the other party would always complain that I do not sound good. The fidelity was absent. Jawbone 2 eliminates this problem and I use headset now during driving. The other party does not sound good to me. The caller is legible but I do not like it as the sound is to robotic. Also the fit needs to be improved big time and the controls require getting used too. At $129 price tag, you expect everything to be great which is not the case. There should also be a storage case to stow it away safely in pocket when not in use. One good thing though, at least I use a headset when needed.

I rated this a 4 out of 5 because it is not the perfect, close but no cigar. The Good: - Excellent call quality - More than loud enough - Can control incoming and outgoing volume - Easy to hook up (providing you follow the directions) The Bad: - Hiss in the headset - played around with the different setting but to no avail. Still has the hiss. You get used to it after a while but it is there. Even with the gripe about the hiss, it is much much better than the corded headsets!! I used to get the cords tangled in everything and then when a call came in I would yank everything off my desk trying to get the headset on my ear. No longer!! If you are looking for a good headset this one will definitely work.
Customer Review: Essential for a Home Office
I consider the CS55H to be essential for my home office. I work from home and between direct calls and conference calls, I am on the phone for at least 2-3 hours per day. The CS55H is very lightweight, and feels unobtrusive even when worn for hours at a time. (Other headsets I've used start to feel heavy, or hot, after several hours.) The microphone is top-notch - others tell me I sound absolutely perfect, as if I were speaking into a high quality wired phone. I am used to having to mute my phone during conference calls, but the CS55H mic's noise cancelling abilities have basically removed any need for me to mute unless there is serious background noise (screaming kids, etc). The sound quality is excellent too. I do hear a bit of a background buzz, but I strongly suspect it's because my headset is surrounded by a nest of home office hardware. I plan to experiment a bit to see if I can quiet the buzz by repositioning things. In any case, it's not enough to be a bother, or even very noticeable. I love that the headset itself has volume controls and a mute button built in. When muted, the headset softly beeps 3 times every 15 seconds. It'd actually be easier if it were to beep at the time you mute or unmute it (it's kinda hard to tell if you've pressed in the button all the way, so you're not really sure you're muted/unmuted until you hear (or don't hear) the beeps 15 seconds later). The CS55H is obviously expensive, but this is one of those things where you get what you pay for. If you are on the phone for hours a day as part of your livelihood, this is a no-brainer investment. This is a serious piece of equipment, not a $40 junky headset, and it's worth every penny.

Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset [Retail Packaged]
For the ultimate in wireless freedom, look no further than the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset, which represents a generational leap in Bluetooth headset technology. It's comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. These are great features, but the real revolution involves Plantronics' exclusive Multipoint technology, which allows the headset to function as a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices. With Multipoint technology you can switch between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The headset's "smart" technology knows which device you are using and allows you to take calls from any device at the touch of a button. With the optional Plantronics Bluetooth Deskphone Adapter you can even switch between your office phone and your Bluetooth mobile phone. You'll never need to use a dedicated "landline" phone headset again.
The 510 features WindSmart technology, which enhances call clarity in windy environments (i.e., car with window/roof open, air conditioning on, outside with breeze), and it folds for easy storage. The boom also swivels for perfect positioning on either ear. One-touch call control buttons are placed for easy access, and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the headset. Because the 510 is Bluetooth-enabled (it supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification) you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from Wi-Fi networks. Ample talk time is provided by the built-in rechargeable battery; you'll get up to 6 hours talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.

Customer Review: Great for Truck Drivers
I have tested almost every bluetooth headset out there ranging from $200 down to $30 and this one is the best. It's the loudest in the ear when turned up so you can hear clearly. People that talk to you can hear you clearly. Even when there is wind and background noise, somehow all they hear is your voice. Even though it may look bulky and uncomfortable, it's actually the opposite. I put it on and forgot I was wearing it at the end of the day. Very light. This product is definitely worth the money.
Customer Review: Excellent BT Headset
I have had this headset for over two years and it works great!I recently bought another for my fiancee. It feels like you not wearing anything, yet it doesn't fall off. The sound clarity is excellent and eliminates alot of background noise.

i like my plantronics 520 a lot. it is very light and it is one of the best looking bluetooth sets around.i ordered mines through amazon for $35.99 with free s&h so i couldn't beat the price. i think it's ridiculous to pay anything more than around $50 for one. mines works nomatter which pocket my phone is in. the only thing is that it disconnects from my phone when the bluetooth battery gets low, but that's no big deal. i highly recommend this for the price and style.
Customer Review: Too Loose
I have been wearing my headset for a couple of months now and I don't find too much of a problem with the sound or comfort. I do have a problem with the rubber piece that is suppose to hold it onto your ear but does not. If I lean to the side I will lose it. If I hug someone it will fall off. If I scratch my ear it comes off. It is just not well fitting to my ear at all for what was paid.

the audio quality is not so good and it fades from time to time during a call. The detachable ear piece broke within two weeks of use.
Customer Review: Great Product
I have a sanyo phone and the way the bluetooth talks to it is awesome. I'm not sure how well it works with other phones, but mine is awesome. It has more features that I haven't even used yet, but just picking up and talking and making calls, I can't complain.
